Can't rewind my XM radio in my 2017 like I could in my 2015 Tahoe???

The feature was called "Pause and Play" and I don't see any menu items on the variety of screens I have on my 2017 Yukon Denali. Don't think its absence has anything to do with DVD or not. Looks like some GM vehicles still have it though. The feature was sure removed "quietly".

That's crazy. Why would GM go backwards and remove this technology. My brother even has it on his Dodge Ram. Thanks for looking. I guess at this point I am convinced it is no longer an option unless someone can prove me different.

the aftermarket XM radio units can pause for up to an hour.

wish GM would allow that.

My 2013 Tahoe LTZ had this pause/rewind feature (called time shift) and I loved it! But I traded that Hoe in Oct. of 2016 for a 2016 Tahoe LTZ and that feature is NOT there! That sucks!!!

After extensive research, I found that for some reason, this feature was removed from 2016 models and newer.

Oh and it worked for FM radio as well, not just XM radio.

Yep... just got off with GM customer support about it. Here is their response:

I would be happy to address this concern for you. That feature was removed on the 2017 models due to a lack of positive customer feedback. I would be happy to submit some feedback on your behalf, however.

How stupid. If there is a lack of positive feedback, make it better... don't delete it.

What a weak ass excuse. You can bet there was a licensing cost/issue with xm or something.

My 2016 Denali does not have it.

That's exactly what I said. This had nothing to do with feedback, this had to do with cost savings.

We need some smart guys to develop a hack - I bet the functionality is still there, just need a way to turn it on.

My radio doesn't even have a 'play/pause" button though.
