I was doing it for looks. Just curious how a rotor diameter increase slows the vehicle down quicker.

The caliper and the same size pad are used. The surface area of contact is the same. I guess i don't fully understand how leverage is gained. Is it just because now the pads are hitting an inch farther from the center?

Yes. The amount of fiction is based on how much rotor the pad contacts. The pad size being the same aside, it being an inch farther from center means more rotor contact per wheel revolution. So essentially, a % increase in diameter will equal a % increase in friction.

Larger rotor equals better heat accommodation as well as a minuscule leverage increase.

I can't find a description for his anywhere. I'd like to know what caliper and rotor assembly it uses. Would be nice if all my cars could use the same pad size...

I got the part number right from Cadillac's accessory page

The part number was good. It's just that nowhere (other than summit) would give a description of what it is.

Summit says 6 piston caliper (unknown family of brembo) and a 16 inch (410mm) :0 rotor!

The Powerstop front and rear kit I ordered for my Escalade just came in today and it looks pretty killer. AND it was only $430 on Amazon!

No bigger in diameter but at least I'll have nice shiny (zinc plated so they won't rust) drilled and slotted rotors instead of the cheeseball factory ones. I've used their stuff on previous vehicles and always been happy with them.

Should look decent behind my 24s. I'll post pics when I get them installed next week.
