Buy what you want! You'll never be happy buying something you think is what you need to be driving. I bought a Cherokee thinking I needed a cheap winter vehicle even though I didn't like Jeeps after my Wrangler experience....kept the cherokee for 4 months and was riding my motorcycle in February...

I bought the HyHoe because it makes me aware of how I drive. Getting 20-22mpg country is better than 17-18, but that 3mpg will take forever to pay for the difference in gas saved to buy they HyHoe over a standard LT. So don't buy it solely because you think you'll save money...

In the end I hope they HyHoe will be worth more resale in 5-10 years then a standard tahoe....so the added purchase cost is negated some and you do end up saving...but i'll have to wait and see.

My dad has an '10 LT Tahoe. I drove it and the biggest differences I noticed right away when i got my HyHoe was that mine tended to stay in V4 mode longer/easier. Not sure if it's the larger 6.0L motor or they Hybrid mode with the electric/gas motors helping....

all in all....buy what you'll enjoy!

I've been slacking on my hybrid mileage lately ... I've been city driving with the transmission on M4 just cause I like the slight rumble sound of the exhaust after the resonator delete. :)

I have a 2013 Yukon Denali Hybrid and love it. I waited to the last minute to purchase it in hopes they were going to make a 2014 model. I will probably hit 100K miles next week. So far only replaced the starting battery and had a transmission cooler line fail.

Mods to date: none.

MPG: I drive without trying to waste fuel, and also not worrying about it very much, with mostly city driving in So. California, punctuated by frequent 1200 mile trips (one way) to Washington State in which I drive as fast as the other traffic. Overall I pretty much average 19-20 mpg both in the city and on the trips, and couldn't be happier after years of driving Yukons, Suburbans, ad Hoes without being hybrids.

I also tow a bassboat a lot, and the 6.2L engine has all the power I need and the Denali is very stable when towing and when braking with the boat behind.

Love this car and my biggest fear is not being able to replace it!

No tow haul mode on my Denali Hybrid like there was on all my non-hybrid models. I have almost 100k with much of it towing a bassboat with no problems not having a tow-haul mode.
