Headlight and Lighting Questions

Okay first off sorry if I'm beating a dead horse and yes, I did use the search function first to see what that would net me however it really didn't turn up any thing super current.

I am tossing around the idea of replacing my headlight, turn signal, and marker light housings as I'm not starting to hate the way they look after 10+ years of own my 1999 (OBS) GMC Yukon. In speaking with a friend of mine the other day he suggested swapping out my bulds while I do the chance over. So I had a few questions with regards to this project.

1.) I was looking at going with the following:

So What is the difference between these two?

2.) I kind of like the look of these however I was wondering about the light output with the black inside. Does anyone have any opinions on these? I know I am staying away from the smoked lenses but looking at these I would think it might hinder light output slightly.


3.) My friend suggested upgrading my bulbs from my Sylvania Silver Stars which did make a difference on my truck with new lenses and bulbs about 7-8 years back. He suggested the OPT7s and swears that himself and 4 other guys all bought them at the same time and love them with zero issues. Now being that I have no experience in the LED, HID, HIR world this brings me here. What I am wondering first is does anyone have these and what are your honest opinions of them and second what is your lighting setup in terms of lenses? My buddy on his dually has smoked lenses and these bulbs and says its perfect. So I'm wondering also, would these be too bright for on coming traffic with clear lenses like I am looking at above?

Any advice, opinions, and what not would be greatly appreciate.

i got a set of the spyder crystal headlights. i went with the bulb style clear turn signals rather than the led. i like the way it looks with amber bulbs. it also came with the clear corner lights. it made great improvement on appearance as well as light output compared to my old foggy stock lenses. don't order from autoanything tho. they defer you to the manufacturer with any defects/warranties.

Do you have the Euro styled ones (link below) or the chrome ones (also link below)? I love the look of the Euro Styled ones but, I am not sure reducing the chrome area (which I would imagine would help reflect the light from the bulb) within the housings themselves would help project light better but perhaps the crystal styled lenses make up for the difference if any.
