So I bought a superchips tuner for my rig along with a CAI over the holiday season.
I installed the CAI and then tuned. The problem is, I don't notice much of a difference. I understand you cant get the same sort of 'gains' from a pre-packaged tune as you can with something from like Black Bear, but you should still be able to notice. Here's the thing: I'm completely new to tuning.
The superchips tuner has a bunch of different preloaded tunes, notable the main 'performance' tune, but that one states you need to run 93 octane to use it.
There are also 'tow' and 'extreme mileage' tunes or some shit like that.
Lastly, there are 87, 89, and 91 octane tunes. I run regular gas, so I selected the 87 octane tune. However, I don't notice any real difference, except for possibly a little more throttle response, but that's probably from the CAI or in my head anyway.
Does anyone have experience with the superchips tuners? Am I doing something wrong?
