I have a 2003 Yukon. I am noting from the front left that there is a noise/thumping that I can feel in the steering column, not in the wheel, sorta like what ever is loose is coming up the steering column in the engine bay. Has a thump to it also like a possible sway bar bushing gone but think I would not feel that in the steering. Truck handles well, tires are about 25k miles old and show no bad wear at all and the truck handles well, no pull to the left, etc.

:welcome:to the forum. You may be on to the sway bar bushing, since you have good tire wear. JMHO and good luck.

I would bet its the steering shaft.
Easy replacement. Just Google it and see if the symptoms of others match yours.
