has anybody installed one of these windshield visors? they seem to be using the same mold as lund , which I believe doesn't make them anymore? how do I go about wiring the marker lights to come on when parking lights / headlights are on? I don't have the unit yet , but I imagine the wring is reduced down to a pos / grnd when it has to be ran ? looking for the simple dirty install.

thanks

the positive for the lights was for vehicles with roof markers was tapped from a circuit on the convenience center. the ground was behind the overhead console.

thanks sunlit. so all these trucks have that circuit in the convenience center? mine is a 99 suburban LT which I would imagine has it. also , just a reg wire tap will do? that circuit is ready to go on the headlight / parking light? lastly what wire would I look for and is it readily visibly if I drop the console without fishing around between the headliner

it is very likely that provisions are in place on the center but if not wit was just spliced of the parking lights output of the headlight switch. Wire is colored brown. on the cents they are basically terminal they can likely use a single terminal or multi terminal connectors.

update - i ended up getting the lighted visor from summit. price was nice and it looked good. it is white gelcoat which will save me from paintwork , but the bottom is still raw fiberglass. do any of you that have visors find the visibility an issue? and did you have the bottom side painted?
