What's the difference between the 07-12 Yukon denali and the 2013 model. I want to buy these headlights but they say it won't fit. Why not? Seems like same too me but I'm no professional.

I saw a black Denali in my neighborhood yesterday with something like this. Looked nice. Wanted to run up on him to ask him how he liked it. Definitely will next time. I know guys on here don't like them, but why?

because their light output is crap. They put out less light than your factory headlamps. The projector is a cheap projector. Members have literally thrown these in the garbage within the first week of using them.

Why would you pay to lose light output?

So what's the better/best upgrade without refinancing your home to make it happen? My factory lights aren't cutting it (I don't want anything ridiculous looking, and I hate to spend money on stuff like this, but I'd surely prefer to see better at night...)

Depends what your budget is. If you wait around you can find a deal a Yukon retrofit here in the classified section for $600 or less. Or you can go to someone like Blackflames customs and have them built to your liking for $1000 ish. Thirdly you could get the parts from TRS and crack open your lights and do that for around $300-400.

@01Konvict can walk you through a DIY. I got mine off the classifieds here. Best upgrade I made BY FAR. If I had to go back and down $1k plus new I would because that's how great these headlights are.

If you can afford the truck, you ca probably afford theheadlightsit should have come from the factory with. But definitely do no cheap out. If it does not have a quality projector you are wasting your time.

Look up the Mini H1 retrofit kit at TRS, and that will give you an idea of a pretty decent set up. That's what I have. It's not the best but it's still 1000x better than stock.

Those are essentially the same "package" if you will that I have from BFC. I didn't read through what HID kit they use but the projector is the same 6.0 version. His price seems like way cheap though. I contacted him and he was super knowledgeable. So try it out, let me know how he is. For that price it is worth a shot. If you can upgrade to morimoto HID's and harness I would though.

Yeah those lights will work but seems cheap. Parts cost that much for the projectors. Not sure the catch but maybe have to send in your own lights.

But as @Jonah52 said I can walk you through any retrofit. I prefer a better projector than mini but it's still much better than stock.

I sold my fxr 3.0 and went ds2 4.0 just for the ease of installation. I would love the fxr width, but immnot complaining about the ds2 4.0 output, esp the high beam.

Edit: i do have brand new ds2 3.0 projectors for sale if anyone wants to do a retrofit. You just have to bore out the headlight bulb hole for them to fit. A few mins with a dremel and they slid right in.
