So when the engines been off and the motor oil is cold, my lifters sounds harsh my oil light comes on and the message to shut engine off appears on dash. When I start it now, I accelerate in park up to 2000rpms to raise the pressure in the gauge. The pressure will stay at around 30 to 40 after the engine warms up and left to idle but will stay at the half point when driving through the day when the engines hot. The pressure will drop to 0 if the motor isnt warm. My lifter knocks so I dont think its a sensor. I have 160000 on an 09 yukon denali. Oil changes are never past due. Also I changed my spark plugs but noticed when I rev the motor to warm it up, it has a miss or slight thumping vibration. Could that be ignition coils goin bad.

like you said, the sensor wont cause the lifter tick, but it may still be bad.
plug wires are cheap and id swap those before i jumped to the coils.

160,000 sounds a little low to be having oil pump issues. maybe try to pull the valve covers to inspect for sludge
