2013 Yukon Denali Hybrid

Ready to upgrade my system using existing factory Nav and door speakers.

1st. Cleansweep or another DSP. what would u recommend.

2nd. 4 channel amp 45 /50 watts per channel for cabin speakers. What would you recommend.

3rd. Powered sub enclosure to keep thing simple. Must be compact . Im thinking JL Powerwedge 400w.

Would put a custom box under center console but I have deep armrest storage. So I'm thinking something that might go under bench second row if possible or something compact to mount on rear seat back.

Let the recommendations begin.

Funny thing is the first thing I want to upgrade is the outdated Navi and door speakers. I think its important to improve the foundation first. This will eliminate a need for cleansweep and improve your options for navi/receiver.

The stock speakers arent the greatest and you would see a bigger improvement with upgraded receiver/speakers than you would with only amp.

Regarding sub, there are various options like back rear window enclosure or one that sits behind 3rd row. Though there is little space, the enclosure doesnt have to take up the entiire rear. I'm in to see what others recommend as I wish I could see more custom setups.

I would of changed the HU but its hard to get feedback on anybody that done it on a hybrid. All i heard so far was don't do it. So I'm gonna clean it up as best as I can without going ham.

I have an alpine Double din DVD/nav 10w3 in sealed box and 250/1 mono block amp. That with the Bose system sounds really good. I'd like 2 12s or a 15 but I don't want to take up to much space and I'm not in high school anymore so I feel like I shouldn't... And my ears ring enough as it is

I think 2 12"s or a 15" is overkill. You can get more than enough bass from 1 12" enclosed. Truck/SUV/hatchbacks circulate bass better than a car ever could.

Still waiting for somebody that changed their HU in a hybrid to see pros/cons. So I'll just use stock HU, clean it up w a DSP and add a low wattage amp to increase the sound just a little more. Add a 200-400w box and I think I'm golden.

Your HU pushes out how much watts per ch? 50w? Sounds about average for a HU. Nice setup though.

First thing is did in mine was replace the head unit. I put my Pioneer 4700 in with the stock bose speakers, and that made a difference.

The real night/day difference was months later when I gutted the doors, and installed Alpine Type-R's, along with some Noico sound-deadening, along with bypassing the Bose amp and putting in a 4-channel amp. I have yet to put subs in, but it sounds so good in there and loud, that it doesnt matter as much to me anymore about earth-shattering bass.

I use the audio control lc7i. Audio control is great. I love the service and product. But, in my truck with factory nav and Bluetooth, I find a few problems. For 1, the damn door chime or seat belt chime or turn signals are insanely loud. For 2, I hate how loud the chimes are. I run a 5 channel amp at about 90 watt rms for my door speakers and center. I run a set of component 6.75 in my front doors and a pillars and a set of 6.5 components in my rear doors and d pillars. Ballance is great. I use a mid range in the dash center. And run 2 15" subs in my rear but turned way way down in a sealed box. The sound is amazing. But the chimes are awful. If I could recomend anything, buy an aftermarket radio. Or use an auxiliary radio. Factory integration was a huge deal to me so I opted to use the factory bose lux radio. I regret it every time I hear the door chime.

Keeping factory integration is not really an issue because they got harnesses to match the steering wheel controls etc. I've seen online in the forums that people intstalled alpine and pioneer HUs and still kept their factory controls and OnStar functions.. My and I mean my only concern was to what extent did the factory HU in a hybrid setup play with the concerns to the computerisation of it all. If nothing at all then I'll swap it out.

Side note. Your system sound wayyy to loud . I just want to increase the sound by 30%. Plus clarity.
