hi all i'm new here and I was given a 97 Tahoe 5.7 and was told it needed a water pump. I replaced the water pump and it ran fine and it didn't over heat until I was driving down the road to my house. And then the car just shut down. So my question is can someone point me in the direction of a step by step guide on how to replace the head gasket and the intake gasket. So I can get my Tahoe back on the road and enjoy it

Search YouTube for head gasket and intake gasket replacement on a chevy 5.7 v8. I recall seeing a pretty detailed video of a guy doing a white Tahoe/suburban

Have your heads checked by a machine shop for warpage and cracks. The head gasket alone may not fix your poroblem.
