I installed Lamin-x on my headlights and tail lights a few months back. They look awesome but the film up close on the tail lights is peeling. I already had them redone once but it's happening again. The installers said its because of the extreme angles of the tail lights that makes films not want to stay in place.

Has anyone had any experience with any other options? Any place online I can purchase a set of smoked tails or even headlights?

I installed Lamin-x on my headlights. But they do have some curling issues and a few "bubbles".

However, I have used VHT Nightshades on my third brake light so far, and contemplating for the tails. It is more involved than a film, but the reviews were not good for film on the taillights. Nightshades is a spray, therefore more involved and not as reversible. But you can get the look you desire.

You could also try Rvinyl. I am considering them for their chameleon film. They have more color choices than Lamin-x.

I had purchased the pre-cut lamin-x film for my tail lights a few months ago. Attempted the install and found the pre-cut ones to be a terrible fit and ended up just getting a refund on them and tossed them in the trash. Not surprised to hear that they are having issues peeling...

Thx, I think spray would be a last resort for me. I'll look into Rvinyl though. There's also another company out here that's an official laminx installer, I'll give them a call and see what they say...

Exact same problem I had the 1st time around. Had the pre-cut ones installed professionally and they were terrible for the tails. They sent a bulk roll to my installers which was what they used the second time around. Unfortunately that hasn't worked out so well either...

No slip do you have pics? When it says upgrade your bulb for $15 what does that mean? Can you put HID or LED lights in these housings. Is there additional wiring or plug and play and lastly for the DRLs do the bottom LEDs light up or both the leds lights on the bottom and the side white lights? Sorry for all the questions but I like them and might get them. Thanks

For the love of all things the car gods will burn you at the stake if you tint your headlights. So stupid!

I don't think I'd get the smoked ones but the ones in black are intriguing. Can you post pics of the ones you installed NoSlipN. Also how would you compare the light output from stock to these?

Body shops will spray your headlights with a clear and a couple drops of black to tint. I really like the blackout headlights, they just happen to be $300+ for my Yukon.
