I have a 2011 Suburban and I’m having issues with XM. My subscription was suspended due to a credit card expiring and me not paying attention. The service was suspended for about 3 weeks (was seeing if I could live without it) until I brought the account up to date. They sent the refresh signal multiple times and I still can’t get a signal. They had me run thru multiple scenarios to try to get it to work but still nothing so they said schedule an appointment with your dealer.

Spoke to the dealer and they told me to wait at least 48 hours and then try the refresh. I went thru the refresh BS again this morning with no luck.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Is there some sort of a test I can perform to see if there is a problem with the unit or resort factory settings on the unit or do I need to bring the truck in?

Thanks,

Does channel 1 Preview come in? And stupid question - but when they send the signal, is the vehicle parked outside or in the garage?

Preview comes in and they have sent the refresh signal while parked in a WIDE open lot as well as driving. Also have done what they call a reboot, which is turning off the radio and car as well as opening a door (sounds silly but they had me do it).

What makes me nuts is that nothing has been done to the truck since the last time it worked before my cc expired.

I was hoping there was some kind of sequence to perform on the OEM unit itself to reboot or restore all factory settings....or at least be able to see if there was some kind of error message.

I really do not want to take this into the dealer.

If Preview channel 1 comes in - then its definitely receiving signals. Im very surprised its not activating. It almost sounds like it would be on XM/Sirius side - maybe due to the billing issue?

Did another refresh with customer service yesterday and also disconnected the battery and did a refresh via the link they sent me.

Still no luck. ;-(

It's really going to kill me if I have to bring the truck into the shop.
