Has anyone looked into the service plans for the newer tahoes? I picked up the platinum elite service plan (not an extended warranty) when I bought my Tahoe in August, partially because it came with some interest rate reduction and partially because of my horrible luck with the last two trucks I owned. Figured, "what the hell", but thought I'd ping you guys for your thoughts.

Just to clarify, I know they don't like to use the word warranty anymore, are you talking about a plan that changes your oil and brake pads, or a plan that fixes crap when it breaks?
I recently bought the Platinum GMEPP 84/100 ($100 deductible) plan for my Tahoe. Given it was only $1,750 it was hard to pass up. This is of course what they traditionally call a warranty. I like to do all of my maintenance myself so I wouldn't be interested in a maintenance plan.

Well, it came with an oil change and a battery replacement, but I believe its the same plan that you got. I guess what got me was that the factory warranty only replaces defects as determined by Chevy (or thats how it was explained to me). Between that understanding and the accompanying interest rate reduction, this seemed like a not so bad idea.

I'm guessing you came to a similar conclusion.
