ok. This thread helped tremendously! First, with that tran cooler removal, once you remove that clamp, the metal house pulls out. I was scared to break out but seen enough videos. You want to remove it from the bracket first too get good leverage and limit restrictions on pulling. After i got it off, i tried to put my 38 metal cotton into out but too big. I mcguvered connection (pic below) which worked but made a soul I the process. Strongly recommend getting correct fitting to avoid spill. Ran for 35 seconds until i heard bubbling.
Went under car and removed pan. Like everyone says, exhaust is slightly in the way. I pot i pipe in between exhaust and car and used jack to bring exhaust down (pic below). Did it very slightly testing the removal every slight drop until i could barely snake it out.
Filter removal easy but gasket for filter looked good and too hard to remove. I just reused. Reinstall was simple with exhaust bent.
Made a mess flushing fluid due to bad fitting but got job done. Bought 4 gallons and used them all. Old oil was black but not burnt smelling.
Upon start up, there was slight smoke coming up from engine from fluid touching pipes but went away after a few minutes.
Car never drove bad but i definitely drive with more confidence now.
