I have noticed that not only do I have no foot well lights like on my SLT, but I have no stinking light in my glove box. I poked around, and I don't even see where one was taken out. Did GM remove this?
No Glove Box Light in my 2005 Denali XL, say it ain't so...

Yup, gone. I installed these as footwell lights on my 04 Tahoe. They work very well, come on a with the dome lights and fade out as the dome lights do also. Neat upgrade.

I did the same with the footwell lights. Just tap into the harness under the dash on drivers side.
As far as the glove box that's weird but just as easy to put in. Find the switch in another truck from a salvage yard. Wire it to another hot wire or straight to the battery.

Had the glovebox light in my 03 until I installed my center console. The new parts came from a truck newer then 03 so the new piece didn't have the hole for the light switch. I haven't had time to dremel in a new hole yet. Hole should be to the right of the latch, for the light switch.

lolSeriously tho, not hard to dremel it in if you wanted to add it. I haven't done it yet, been so busy, but I plan on it.

Not hard but still wth didn't they put one there? Save $ on 1 square inch of plastic lol.

GM's infinite wisdom I guess. They also saved money on the switch.
