I'm new to this and my new Tahoe.
It's a well kept and maintained 2005 Z71. When you hit a bump there is a slight but annoying rattle that sound like something is loose. The shop went through the front end and could find no problems. They were the original shocks so we changed them and did an alignment but that didn't help. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also the steering felt loose when I got it so last night after finding this site and a thread on adjusting the steering box I thought I would try that. I did that and it made a huge difference, but still have the rattle. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks! Everybody seems to refer to that as a cause of the a clunk when turning. I did see where someone said to look under the dash and feel for play in the knuckle. That my be it as it feels like its close to steering wheel, almost like its loose.

Just an update. When I met Justin for my Black Bear tune, the first thing he said was you need to replace the intermediate shaft. I did it this weekend after watching some you tubes. That fixed the problem but just a recommendation that if you have adjustable pedals you will need another set of hands to pull up on the boot.
It seems like the pedal brackets are beefer with that option then are shown in the video. A lot of lifting and guiding to get it out and in.
