Any idea which fox shocks? Bilsteins and FOX come in varying valving options. I have 4600's on my denali and On another vehicle 5100's @255/70 and 5125's @170/60 IIRC. The 4600's seem to ride a bit softer in comparison. 4600's don't advertise the shock valving anywhere that Ive seen it.

5100s' are digressive and 4600's are Linear from what I understand.

There are three types of valving characteristics that dictate how the shock will perform. They are progressive, linear, and digressive. Progressive shocks start out soft and get stiffer quickly as the shaft speed increases. Linear shocks uniformly increase stiffness as the piston speed increases. It is similar to the progressive valving but does not make dramatic changes at higher speeds. Digressive is just the opposite of progressive. It starts out stiff, then it tapers off.

Much of the reason that your ride is harsh is that you have a 2500 with a tbar crank. How do your Jounce bumpers look @ ride height?

I have the 5100's on my denali and really don't like them. They have too much compression and not enough rebound. This leads to a ride that is very stiff over bumps yet bounces after the bump. Its pretty terrible.

Interesting. most are pretty happy with them. Maybe it'd be worth trying to pick up some universal 5125's or something with different valving options.

Not really. Im friends with the marketing manager over there and told him what I was feeling and what I wanted. He created something for me.

Definitely need to do that. Jounce stops are an integral part of the front suspension. They make the spring rate gradual rather than linear.
