To say that it is frustrating that a few weeks after having to get the door trim replaced due to falling loose driving down the road, the AC went out is an understatement. Not like won't turn on or anything electrical from a user controls perspective, just no longer produces cold air. Service rep said it was compressor and is under warranty but will be in the shop for a while to get resolved (more than a day).

Dealer seemed pretty quick on the issue identification and also the recall re airbag is being fixed but it felt like I wasn't the first one to come to them with AC issues.

Anyone else had their 2015+'s AC go out on them?

Havent heard of a compressor going out on a new model but a handful out of a few hundred thousand isnt too bad. They should be able to get you back on the road quickly, compressor is an easy fix.

The compressor failed on my 2015 LT while on vacation in FL in July. Chevy Dealer down there replaced it under warranty in half a day, no hassles. Needless to say I was happy not to have to drive back to KY without A/C!

I had the AC line that goes from the front of the truck to the back of the truck corrode and apparently was damaged. I'm past my warranty, and I had an extended warranty that wouldn't cover either. Cost me 1100 bucks to fix a section of the line. To replace the whole line would have been 3200 bucks since they would have to lift the truck off the frame to replace the line. Unbelievable.

My frustrations were more with the cumulative list of issues that have gone haywire in a little over a year on a very expensive (at least to me) vehicle (which is why I had this post in the general discussion as opposed to the engine subcategory where it was moved to…). I have been to the dealer for repairs, excluding maintenance 18 independent times since driving it off the lot. This was number 18. Counting maint the number is 22. Think about buying a brand new car and having to take it to the dealer for service 22 times in 18 months. Today it is just a compressor, before that it was just door trim, before that it was just onstar, before that it was just the 4wd software, before that it was just the transmission software, before that it was the seal on the sat antenna, before that it was the navigation system, before that it was the 3rd row seats, and it goes on and on and on.

I have had 14 different vehicles from varying makes and models and I have never owned a vehicle that was 5 years old that has had these many problems.

I have a big family and thus need the capacity of the Yukon but it is sad that I feel like a hostage to the vehicle as opposed to rewarded with a quality vehicle that serves its purpose.
