Has anyone tried removing their boost valve with the tranny still in the suv? Please give actual answers and not why or I think or I guess.

I'm in a bind and I really need to replace my boost valve but I can not fully get to it because their is electrical connection right on top of it. Does anyone know if or how to remove the electrical connection to get to the boost valve? I can see the boost valve and the retainer holding it in place but the connection is in the way I'm and I'm worried I'd break it. The connection is somewhat loose but it looks to be connected to another plastic piece buried in the transmission.

If you have a 2007-2014 please say info will help

I was just in my trans a couple weeks ago to install a new TCC valve and completely forgot to replace my boost valve, grrrrr sucks. SOB, I bought it but forgot all about it.

Take it easy and you should be fine. If you worry about it, that's when things go bad.

I installed everything and everything worked fine.

FYI from 2007 and up all 4L60E transmissions have a speed sensor right in front of the boost valve. To change the boost valve you have to now remove the whole transmission.

Nice, glad it worked out.

You know, after posting that message I realized that was why I didn't install the boost valve.
