I'm wondering if they're a direct swap other than maybe milling the heads .03 or .04 or keep stock compression. I'm planing on eventually doing a mild cam like a zo6 or a 221/221 ...... from comp or Texas speed, in conjunction with the heads (port and polished) and intake manifold and possibly paired with a 90mm throttle body, I'm also curious if I'd have to modify my AirRaid Mit for the 90mm throttle body.
This is kinda a long distance off, but I'd like to do it all at once, as well as LTs and dyno tune

Yes, direct swap. Dont you love that about these motors. Im assuming you're wanting to go from a stock 5.3 head to a 243/799 casting? Wouldnt waste my time doing a 317. You could cut the 243s from nothing to probably 30/40 with no issue. Then sit back and enjoy the new found performance.

Awesome, thanks, that's exactly what I was thinking.
Yeah, I'm looking for 07-whatever heads and I figure if I'm already pulling the heads, might as well ****** the intake and fuel rails while I'm there.
