I have a 07 Tahoe LT, the problem I have is the rear passenger lock will sometimes gets stuck in the open position. The problem is very consistent, I can close the door all the way but the latch doesn't engage. When I do manage to get the door locked the interesting thing is if I press the unlock on my key fob the door lock jams and won't open at all. The only way for it to get unstuck at this point is for me to be physically in the vehicle, all doors closed, lock and unlock and only then will it unjam the door. Does anybody have a clue as to what component of the door lock is at fault here?

Might be worth checking out the door knob. On the knob, there is a small plastic latch that can be pried off with a tiny flathead screwdriver. The knobs ride on what's basically a threaded stud, and that latch is a plastic clip that holds them on the stud. I'm not sure how powerful the servo is, but if it's weak the knob may have come out of alignment and is preventing the servo on that door from moving the stud down and locking it. I can take pics of what I'm talking about if you need.

Sure, so you can remove the knob by placing a tiny flathead or plastic trim tool on the latch and pushing down and pulling out a bit. When you get it off you can see the thread that's connected to the servo. To actually get to the servo though you'll have to remove the door panel.
Try to lock/unlock your door and see if the thread moves. If it moves fine, your problem may be knob misalignment.. if you still have the problem, well, at least you've eliminated something.
I recently took mine off to try to fix its rattling. The knob surround has a plastic peg that is supposed to prevent the knob from jiggling around, but as the doors lock and unlock hundreds of times, the plastic wears down (that's why I put the rubber sticker there).
Try to lock/unlock your door and see if the thread moves. If it moves fine, your problem may be knob misalignment.. if you still have the problem, well, at least you've eliminated something.
