what are the video/audio ports for on my 06DenaliXL factory overhead DVD player? Are the AUX outs or AUX ins?

Aux In, tbh pretty obvious if you look closely there is a setting on the DVD player to use them as the input too. You can also use them to plug your phone if with an component to 3.5mm cable. Then turn on the RSE (Or something like that) mode on, on your stereo (its either band or the CD button) once the DVD player is on. Then the DVD player will play through your car speakers.

My AUX inputs in my 04 yukon are fed from a WDTV. I have an androide tablet mounted where the 6 cd disk changer used to be. The table "plays to" the WDTV. whast on the WDTV is on that center screen. works amazing. Espically for kids. Anyone wants pictures or how i have my setup feel fee to PM me. No problem telling you guys how i did it. works flawlessly.

Subscribed. I am also interested, because although the DVD player works fine for the kids at their current ages, I would like to be able to play my iphone through the stereo w/o having to use RCA cables to the RCA jacks and this might be a way to do so also.

OK no problem.

Give me a few days. I'll take some pictures and do a write up on it.

Dan

I'm looking forward to seeing this

Cursory glance @ the WDTV makes it seem like it shouldn't be too difficult.

sorry guys been pretty buzy

Ok.. heres all the craziness. you guys have any questions at all ask away,
all the devices i snipped the ends off if it had cig lighter or not and hard wired it in. every device is fused seperatly. The 2 headrest tv.s are on a separate switch so they dont have to be when im not using them, either for playing music of my tablet or whatever. the holder i guess u can say that the tablet slides into and charges was made from fifield fabrication. i found them from just googling ideas that i wanted to do. you also see that on my tablet i created a "hotspot" then on the WDTV i set it to only connect to that hotspot automatically when i hit the switch. if you notice on the right i have a usb extention with a chip hooked into so the tablet can read everything from. in the last picture you see the WDTV and on top is a video signal amplifier. the video output of the WDTV goes into the video amplifire, then the signals from the amplifiers goes to both headrest tvs and the center tvv. now the audio from the WDTV only goes to the audio aux to the center tv along with the video. what that does is, since you can switch the mode on the center factory tv, the sound comes out the speakers of the truck. also you see that i have the TORQUE app on my tablet the same time the movie is goin. that is cause i chose to "PLAY TO" the wdtv not "MIRROR" lmost the picture you see with the "yukon chip" folder. thats showing that im reading off that chip i mentioned above using ES Explorer app. which s pretty awesome. im using the hotspot feature from that app as well. umm that should some it up. was goin to chrome cast it but i needed a lagit internet connection. guys have any questions let me know. no problem spreading the love.

Later fellas
Dan
