Has anyone successfully swapped console out for jump seat? I have a 2015 Yukon XL SLE. Seen a lot of seats on EBay for rather decent prices, but out of Tahoes. Would fit the same?

I was able to do the swap. The seat from a Tahoe bolted right in. I did encounter a few issues. Number one, the wire harness from the dash will not plug right into the jump seat harness. So I am losing power outlets and USB ports. Now that I think of it, I should have taken the ports w/wire connectors out of the console and swap into the seat. Will probably do that another day. Second, I didn't anticipate the subwoofer being under the cup holders under the console, so I had to remove that. I can live without the subwoofer since I need room for nine. There is a bare spot with no carpet where the subwoofer used to be. Third, you will need to find some trim to clean up under the center dash. So to sum it up, it is possible to do this swap. Won't be any time soon, but when I go to change out the harness in the jump seat, I'll snap a few pics.

I need to swap my console for a jump seat in a 2011 Yukon. I've got the console out but I have stopped messing with it because I'm not sure what to do with the Bose components I've uncovered. Can they be moved to a different place? Do I have to ditch them completely? Will the jump seat go over them? I haven't seen a jump seat with wiring harness at all yet.

You posted in 2015+ years forum. I did encounter the Bose subwoofer under the console and just omitted it. Added an aftermarket sub and amp following another member's post. I was able to buy the trim piece, also called the storage box, part #22885554(18 in the pic) according to GM schematic.

Thanks. I was just lookin for some advice about it. This is my first "new" truck. I got the seat in and Bose sub out. I'll definitely put the console back as soon as the teenager gets her own ride in a couple of years. So this only a temporary solution to having too many kids to fit in it.
