    We've had others in the past as well. Both our '02 Tahoe and '01 Yukon rusted to death long before the motors were dead. We are trying to be really good about hitting up the car wash often with our newer ones, trying to avoid rusting again. One of the worst parts of living in Northern New England!

    They couldn’t replicate the error or get the vehicle to shut down. They didn’t want to replace the ecm because “it’s expensive”. Yeah, we all know that it’s expensive at a dealership. Charged me $99 for the diagnostics that I didn’t need done and told me to come pick it up. If it does it again...

    Update: Dropped it off at the stealership, waiting to hear back from them. We bought it from them a week ago on their wholesale to the public lot. You can get a decent price but the issue with that is it comes with no warranty. They said they'd "work with us" on the cost. Can't wait to see what...

    Oh yes, I live in Maine so EVERYTHING ends up rusting here. I’ve had plenty of vehicles in the past where the motor outlasted the body.

    Unsure of the batteries age, but the volt gauge is around 14v or a little more. Is there any particular grounds that are the "typical" ones that need to be touched up? Or is it more check them all and good luck?

    Hey all! Looking to replace my wife’s 02 Tahoe with an 07 suburban as our family needs the room. A local dealer has a nice one we’re looking at and has it listed as an LTZ. I ran the VIN through a decoder and it’s coming up as an LT, not LTZ. The vehicle has had the emblems shaved (so annoying)...

    I have a Rockford Prime R500X1D 250Wx1 pushing my 12" L7. I only have the amp at about 2/3 power and when I crank the volume it legitimately hurts my ears from so much bass (electronic music, don't hate!). I wasn't sure if the amp would be enough, and I'm sure I could drive that sub much harder...

    Running a wire through the firewall?

    Yes we taped the wire to a long flat blade screwdriver and forced it through from the interior to the engine bay. Took a few minutes but it does fit!
