2022 Tahoe picked up at dealership end of July 2022. Just git the retro fit added. I love it. My garage is tight at the moment with junk and this is quite helpful.
Seen someone in my area selling their oem brake, caliper, dust shields, etc.etc. for $500 on FB Marketplace. I think they stated it only had about 1000 miles before upgrading to the Brembo kit.
I have this set up on my RST. I LOVE the braking feel and I would argue stopping distance definitely improved (unfortunately I did not measure difference before and after). Had a rear dragging brake issue after install from dealer. After multiple back and forth visits it was finally resolved. I...
Hey guys, for those with this set up, do you feel the extra weight of this set up wwhile driving. I have thos set up. I initially had a dragging brake issue which was resolved however I still feel my ride quality and acceleration / responsiveness affected slightly.
Yes, give it a little while. It's hard to explain. It's as if the 1st gear is an extra low, short gear and the 2nd gear just abruptly jumps in and accelerates. Unless you are very docile it feels as if you stomped the accelerator, lol. Trust me, I know how you feel..
.but it did get much...
Same for me my first 1k miles in my 6.2 Tahoe. It gets better. I truly believe these transmissions learn your driving style and adjusts. It used to annoy me so much but then got much better. There is a possibility I've adjusted how I accelerate also (possibly) but I do not think so.
Wow! I would've never thought of exhaust. Great info! When I go for my next oil change this is something I'll have to explore. Pulling up on ppl in a new SUV with bird churping sounds is not too shabby. Already got questioned about that sound already.
Remove that heavy GM-Brembo brake package kit and install the normal OEM brake, rotors and pads. Those things are heavy as hell! I added them to my 6.2 RST and feel a difference in ride quality. Still smooth but I feel more road imperfections than before. I believe the RST sport edition comes...
Tell dealership to check the idler pulley. These GM trucks can start that whine fairly brand new. It will usually whine during acceleration from a start especially on the lower gears like 1st and 2nd. I am 99% certain it is not your transmission. Either idler pulley or one of the other belts...
Yes to everything you asked. 6.2 with 4600 miles. Little minor whining sound upon acceleration specifically from 1st and 2nd gear really. Small bird chirping sound when starting vehicle and upon slowing down very briefly. That bird chirp has got to be a belt of some sort. Research is leading me...
I also upgraded to the GM performance brakes. Contemplating on selling my oem rotors, brakes pads, etc but a piece of me wants to hang on to them. I had so much issues with dealership installing these things from dragging brakes, to a much heavier feeling ride quality, much lower mpg and even...
Hi guys. I'm sitting in my driveway and just decided to rev the 6.2 for the sound. Shockingly I realize it won't rev past 3500 rpm! I am a cruiser so I do not rev that high unless necessary. Any thoughts? Taking it to dealer soon regarding this. Seems like a misfire or a minor thump when I get...
