    I found out the hard way that LED light bulbs in garage door openers messes with the signal. No clue why...but it solved my problem instantly. Using home link was totally hit or miss depending on the day if it worked at all...swapped out with an incandescent bulb and i now have 200' of range.

    Panasonic makes the unit, LG makes the display. I contacted both of them..waiting to hear back. The dealer can only replace the unit as a whole, and wants ~$500... and i only need a $5 cable.

    I disassembled the dvd unit. Turns out it's the ribbon cable that went bad. Anyone have any suggestions where i can find a 40 pin flat ribbon cable?
