Well just got back from having the rust repair quoted. The guy looked at it and said he might have to cut out and reeled a new quarter panel in, repaint the trip-coat so worst about $4k. At that price I would do it no problem. He did notice it was bondo-ed before and repainted so he started... -

Damn thanks! I just found some of Tony's posts about his kits. They really seem like the way to go. I was reading somewhere on them that with the rear shock extenders you can retain the stock autohide shock height. I can do all that with body on? I'd love to do a body off frame restore but its not feasible at all. I do have an air compressor and rotary air tools with wire wheels to be able to really get a lot of the accessible rust off. -

On the way from Seattle to Denver I averaged 15.4 mpg with two adults and three kids. I was running 75-85 mph the entire time though.
