    LS vs 383 Stroker

That would be the best way to do it. I've thought about that too. I found a 454 burb, same year, rebuilt 4L80 transmission with 14 bolt rear end. Everything I needed for 1800. The motor needed new rings as it was burning oil but it would have been worth it to convert the truck over. Although...

    LS vs 383 Stroker

Funny you mentioned that. I did look at the 8.1 and other built BBs as an option. The 383 stroker from blue print has the almost same specs as a stock 8.1 with terms of HP and torque albeit the 8.1 produces 450 lbs of torque at 3000 rpms which is much better since its down at the low end. Price...

    LS vs 383 Stroker

I agree. It's personal preference at the end of the day. Personally, I'd like to have more of a cammed out performance engine. My truck isn't a daily driver and I'm not 100% concerned with fuel economy. With that said, the LS can be upgraded as well, but here is the issue: Regardless of how...

    LS vs 383 Stroker

Hi Folks, I've done 3 months of consistent research on the subject topic. Here are my findings. There are tons of people out there that think the LS swap is the way to go. Is the LS a great engine, sure. Does it get decent gas mileage, sure. Is it reliable, yes. However, is it really the...

To sell or not to sell!

I recently listed my Tahoe on Craigslist. Shortly after, I had "sellers" remorse and I haven't even sold it yet. There is something apparently special about 2 door Tahoes. I can't explain it but after meeting numerous people, who all say, I regret selling my 2 door, I've decided to keep mine...

help me, lift tahoe lt 2wd (Cheap)

Hi Walter, There really is no such thing as a cheap lift, with regard to creating a monster. However, it is rather affordable to slap on a 2 or 3" body lift. Your suspension geometry/drivetrain will remain the same, you are simply lifting the body with a body lift. Most DIY folks can do it...

    350 swap for a 350 vortec

You will need a custom tune FYI. That will cost you an addition 4-500 depending on where you go or live but after months of research, I've chosen this option for mine. Don't forget to change the torque converter to accommodate the cam.

    350 swap for a 350 vortec

Best bang for buck right here. Ships with Vortec intake compatible heads, will bolt right up, your factory PCM will run it, and will give your truck over 400 HP. http://www.blueprintengines.com/index.php/products/bp-gm-crate-engines-landing/gm-383-main/item/gm-383-engine-specs-bp38313ct1

Post up your OBS 4x4 on 22x9 wheels.

Thanks man. The 20x10's have a negative offset. (-24). That keeps the wheel from sticking out too far, but allows proper clearance.

How high can i go with cranking and rear blocks?

Crank on ground with weight on wheels. I've done it many times with no issues. You will get various opinions. However, I've never had a problem. Just make sure to realign it once you get to your final height. My torsion bars are cranked to the top. It rides rough but that's only because the...

    Line X va Raptor Bedliner

Just thought I'd share a quick post for those who may be looking for some additional feedback on this topic. To start, I'm sure others have already posted similar threads. I'm just sharing my experience. I was recently sitting on the fence as to wether or not to pay Line X the ridiculous cost...
