+1 on the above replies. A good scanner can be used to activate and test the various solenoids. If I paid someone to do my trans I would surely insist that they made it right. As mentioned above it only takes one check ball out of place......
We traded a Durango for our '02 Sub LS 7 years ago. 186k on the clock and we've put 106k of that on. This has been one of the most trouble-free vehicles I've ever owned, and I have no intention of ever parting with it. Other than regular maintenance it's needed:
Outer tie rod ends.
Pitman arm...
