not really, how often do you drive your truck? The evap system is only checked so often and in certain conditions, which often do not happen in winter around our way.
So what TxTooTall is saying is yes an active fuel management 5.3 will drop right in if you delete active fuel management, which is what I would guess you were looking for in the first place.
I am not going to say that this is normal, but it is common. If I am driving my tahoe like a grandpa, it sort of slams into second at like 2500. My silverado did that too and the trans made it all the way to 190000 with lots of towing and abuse before letting go.
Get a 22 half filled with ice and then try to drive down the highway, you will be bouncing out of your seat and your wheel bearings will be shot within minutes.
On the snow subject, does anyone plow with their tahoe? I have been looking at putting a plow on her because I literally have no...
If you get a good custom tune you don't need to change on the fly. I am so happy with my tune I just run 89 all the time. Lew did a great job.

I have the diablo intune with a custom tune from Lew, I couldn't be happier. The performance improved drastically, and his customer service is second to none.

Overflow bottle? That would be my first guess. Did you recently add coolant before this started? Maybe it is overfilled and coming out the vent tube.

Not much, typically the stock airbox is sufficient until you start with more modifications. You will notice an increase in throttle response but that will be about it. I have the volant on mine and it makes a cool sound but if I wouldn't have picked it up for $75 used it would not have been...

You might be able to get an email tune like a blackbear auto cal that makes it run pig rich so you don't burn one of those shiny new pistons and email logs back and forth until it is running right. I know this is not the most efficient way of doing things but it may work for you. From what I...
Here is that post. I had a pressurized flush done on my 03 Pontiac grand Prix. It was a gt model with 34000 miles on it, it shattered everything except for 1st gear and I had to replace the trans by 36000. I will say that I believe in changing the fluid, just don't let a shop blow it in...
The link posted earlier, I would not do a pressure flush on a gm trans unless I wanted to kill it. If you keep up on regular maintenance you will never need to do more than that. I would actually do what Wake suggested after flushing it good with the method in the link. Doing 5 quarts every...
Any idiot can run that machine it will be 1 connector 2 alligator clips, slide it on a rod and wrap a belt around it. It is so simple, just keep an eye on the person doing it and watch the screen, if it shows all green then it is good. I used to work at autozone as a second job when I first...
