What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

A little after the fact, but I also replaced my radiator on Sunday after it decided to spring a leak while on the road on Saturday.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My cheap Amazon backup camera took on some water during a wash a few weeks ago and never recovered. Today I replaced it with one that claims to be waterproof. Also fixed my drivers door lock that kept jamming and locking me out. The rod must have bent when I changed the regulator. I also...

    Advice on Yukon XL Denali

If you do this, be aware if you get no codes, see if your reader tells you how long ago codes were reset. Sometimes people will reset the codes to hide a problem. Same here if oil and trans fluid look no brand new they might have been changed as part of good maintenance, or may have been...

    Anybody rebuilds gauge clusters?

I used https://www.gmgaugerepair.com/ full rebuild and LED conversion. They say they will repair and repair and ship the same day as received in most cases. Had the cluster back in my hands in a few days.

    My 5 Alarm Hoe

To me the torque converter bolts weren't nearly as bad as the bell housing bolts. Especially the drivers side top. Was very close to the footwell.

    My 5 Alarm Hoe

Galante is right. Disconnecting the harnesses is a big chunk of the work. For me probably the most challenging part was the bell housing bolts. I found a really long extension ( like 3 feet or so) and go in from the tail end of the transmission towards the front to get at the bell housing bolts

    My 5 Alarm Hoe

Just finished getting up to date on this thread. Firstly, Thanks for your service to the city. My brother is also FDNY. Definitely an interesting build. Love the bedliner paint job. Was wondering if you ever got the suspension kit installed. My 03 Suburban needs some work and was curious your...

    Battery keeps dying

I had similar problems in my 03 Suburban, and my wife's 06 Trailblazer. In the Suburban, it turned out to be the gauge cluster. The TB apparently has multiple parasitic draws. I the heaviest seems to have been the OnStar module. Still chasing the remaining draw, when she can leave it home so I...
