Probably too late of a response, but I had the same problem... they wouldn't fit because they were too long. I returned everything and went with a different brand.
Mine was doing the same thing, scrapping while entering our driveway at a slope. Turns out my rear right shock was frozen stiff while contracted and just not allowing the suspension to travel normal/correct. You might have the same issue.....
Just sharing my experience for others... seams to be a common issue.
