Popping noise coming from front end?
Have the engine mounts been checked? Sounds. All the points you mentioned are shifts in power that would cause your. Engine to shift if the mounts are broken. Sadly the ones on 07-14 Tahoe are about as strong as glass- HihoTaho

Achieving that "new car ride" again without buying a new car again.
As far as the sluggish and odd noises you might check the engine mounts. I had similar issues starting at 80k miles. Finally diagnosed as both engine mounts broken- HihoTaho

Broken Motor Mounts
I talked with chevy customer service today. They deny there is anything wrong with the design of these mounts. There wording is that there is no known defect or design deficiency with the motor mounts for these vehicles. Further they actually claimed very few of them fail. Sounds like it is...- HihoTaho

How has there not been a recall on these. GM had to spend millions in recalling all of the 70s pickups for a similar problem.- HihoTaho

Doesn't anyone make an aftermarket part that doesn't break every 80k miles. Sorry GM. No reason to pay a small fortune every 80k miles because you under-engineered the part. Those of us with hybrids they want more than $1200 to replace the motor mounts. There has to be a 4wd customization...- HihoTaho
