You did not state if you had an alarm or not...
Not sure if you can do this with just the factory key fob remote. Maybe, just maybe, someone has figured out how to do that.
For me ...you would be better served by stepping up to a new alarm. I'm 100% sure you can do what you want, roll up and...
That's a loaded question capable of lighting forums on fire my friend., akin to;
what wheels should I get?
what color should I paint my ride?
I firmly believe the system is only as good as the quality of the installation!
Someone will chime in and answer with specific brands. Just bear with me...
Speaking from experience...I had BCM go bad with non of the issues you have listed.
I don't like throwing money at problems as I'm sure your the same. I would suggest you continue with search in the forum to ensure that is actually the issue.
If it really is the BCM here is my experience, FYI...
Keep it topped off at the correct level and see if it really is going down or you are in fact you are still "burping" the system
Run it and cycle through the the front and rear heater settings on next drive.
Before starting it cold check it
When you get to your destination check it

Change these fluids once and "ferget'bout it"
The members suggesting the ground issue is consistent with the symptoms listed under 1, 2 & 3. Ground wire contact cleaning and sealing or even quality Big three (or more) wire replacement are a much cheaper fix than a BCM. Those are not cheap!

I too have been having the DIC display rear left door ajar and my alarm doing same thing you describe I had been manually locking to remain a good neighbor (but recently got broken into.. Rotten luck whilst alarm not functioning)

Still wondering why the PCM 20 amp fuse blew
I don't have a schematic so I can only speculate;
Circuit overload from cranking?
Or
Overloaded from combination of cranking and the radar detector and wife's I pad plugged into 12v plugs
Oh and stereo on (Pandora through IPad to system)
Ok so today diagnosis ;
I was able to get to crank yukon by Jumping starter with key in ignition
So WTF
The BCM recognized the Keys
So back to the simple things;
Popped under hood fuse cover
relay for starter checks out
Started checking fuses
Found the 20 amp PCM fuse blown
Replaced and was...
