Alternator charging but making lots of noise

Yep, it's time for a new one or a good rebuild. New ones of higher output are, in my opinion, the way to go. Make sure your output cables are in good condition.

    Woven copper wire for grounding

The copper braids are cheap and easy to replace. You will need to measure the length needed, also easy.

Still all over the road after rebuild and alignment

I think one of the previous commenters may be right, you're running pretty large, heavy tires and wheels. One thing many folks don't add into the calculation is the actual weight of the tires and wheels, not just the overall diameter for speedometer accuracy. So, you actually installed a new...

Still all over the road after rebuild and alignment

The first upper A-arm, the right, arrived today, the rest are due Wednesday. That will be the left upper A-arm and the idler and pitman arms.

Replacing my diy exhaust with Gibson

Please take some photos when your new system arrives, and maybe some of the installation too. I had a 2002 Blazer ZR2 that I installed a cat back full stainless Gibson on, made that V6 sound like a Jag six.

Still all over the road after rebuild and alignment

Interesting thread, always love good information. Because we have low traffic in the OBS forums, I'm reviving this thread. I'm starting on the front suspension replacement, because it wonders a bit. The Yukon has 130k miles on OEM parts. I'm going with all Moog balljoints/parts.

Polyurethane leaf spring bushings or not?

Dusting off old memories, seems like there's a company that makes non-squeaking poly bushings that have graphite impregnation in the poly. Then again, that may be old, out of date info.

    Whats a yukon gt?

I saw a Tahoe Sport sitting on a dealer's lot when it was new, early to mid 1990s. I think it had a manual transmission, too. The color was red over silver.

    Who has 22's?

Wow, those are going to change your effective axle ratio. Did you calculate how much?

    Fuel Tank replacement question

Where did you source the new tank? I don't need one, as far as I know, but eventually I may.

Anyone know what wheels these are?

I can't see the image, either. The OP only posted 2 times, then fled the scene.

Location suggestions for SiriusXM Sat radio receiver

Right now, while I'm still working on the installation, it looks like the best location for the Sir/XM receiver will be below the HVAC controls where a CD player lives now. That will be removed, the new bezel came with a blank off plate so the cubby hole won't be there any more. It should fit...

Help installing Nbs Dic into obs Yukon

The 2004 Ford F-350 that I custom ordered came without the overhead console display unit, so I sourced one from the same model year Excursion. Seems Ford, and likely GM, used one wiring harness for the overhead consoles, no matter which options you have. My particular model, with cloth seats I...

This makes me want a 2door.

I like the red interior, it really sets off the exterior color. Only real men can drive a vehicle with a red interior. Way back when I was in high school, red interiors were commonly found in muscle cars, 427 Fords, 396 Chevies, and Corvettes. I've never understood the desire for black...
