Automatic Liftgate will not lock
4 trips to the dealership and still not fixed. The lift gate switch and motor were replaced. Service dept. says it could be a "module".- biorob

Dusty alternator?
I could still hear the noise when I spun the pulley by hand but I replaced the belts (ahead of schedule) and the noise subsided. I replaced them with "gates" and noticed a pretty big difference in ply/thickness.- biorob

Dusty alternator?
The alternator in my 08 yukon is screeching when I accelerate. I removed the serpentine belt and can hear the same sound when I manually spin the alternator pulley. The voltmeter occasionally drops from 14 to about 12 volts, but I'm not getting any instrument panel warnings. The GM service...- biorob

Automatic Liftgate will not lock
I've got a 2008 Yukon XL. The automatic liftgate opens fine and lowers as usual. The problem is that when I push the liftgate button to close it lowers to the point of locking but just opens up again. I can physically lower the gate by hand and it stays shut. Any thoughts or simple fixes?- biorob

Door lock actuator failure
Driver side actuator went out on my 08 yukon (36K+ miles) last week and the dealership replaced it in about 30 minutes. Didn't even ask for warranty paperwork. Said GM got a bad batch. -

Driver side door gap
Door gap issue fixed I fixed the issue by placing a 2 X 4 at the bottom hinge and slowly pushing the door in. I guess the area of the chassis where the hinge is attached had just slightly bent out when the wind caught the door. -
