Thanks for asking. She's doing better, but still has a ways to go. Collar bones heal slow. I'll call you soon, sounds like he might be the right guy for my swap. I was watching one of the truck shows Sunday morning and they put a Edelbrock supercharger on a 5.3 and it dynoed a 90hp gain. Sure...
Last year I bought a 99' 2 door that the previous owner had installed a 6" RCX lift on. It still had the original driveshafts and the stock 3:42 gears. It did fine until I had an offroad shop regear it to 4:56. Vibration showed up front and rear with the lower gears.
First thing we did was...
The Off-Road shops here don't like them either. The want to sell the brands that cost twice as much. Unless your doing some serious off-roading the RCX will do you just fine. The more expensive lifts might give you a better ride but the RCX is really not that rough.
Do some searches, there...
Just do a 6" suspension and be done with it. I have the Rough Country RCX on mine and it handles 35's with no problem. For $1000 the RCX isn't the best lift out there but it is one of the best for the money.
If you end up buying new, take a look at the American Eagle rims. I just bought a set. They are great looking, quality rims for a decent price and the best thing is they are made in the USA.
Baby got new shoes.
American Eagle 18x9 wheels and 315/70/18 Toyo Open Country MT's. Toyo said they are 35.7" tall when mounted but not installed on the truck. They were actually 35" even, mounted but not installed (don't know what happened to the .7"). They only squated 1/4" when installed...
Here's a couple pictures of one I came across here in town in the mall parking lot. Poor thing hasn't been taken care of in a long time judging from the coat of grime and bird crap on it. Some people are just too damn lazy to appreciate what could be a really cool looking vehicle.
These are the rims (Superfinish Black) I have on order, should be here Monday. The 315/70/18 Toyo MT's should be here Monday also. I'll post up some pictures when I have them mounted.

Thanks Fishin,
I did some googling and couldn't find anyone that had anything bad to say. All good comments on all kinds for forums. Don't really want to spend the money for new rims but I really want to go with the 315/70/18 Toyo MT's. They are supposed to be 35.7" tall inflated but not...
Anybody have experience with this brand wheel (American Eagle)? I am looking at wider rims and I came across a set by American Eagle that I really like but I don't know anything about the quality. The price is on the mid to lower end, very similar to the MB's that are on my Hoe now.
Man, so this is the kind of thread that brings all the 2 door guys out of the woodwork.
Their going to have to dig a big hole when I die, I'm going to be buried in my 99' 2 door.
I paid $7750 for my 99' a few months ago. It already had the lift, MB wheels & BFG AT's. I added 4.56 gears...
I've got the 6" Rough Country on my 99' 2door and I have no complaints. Its not a hardcore lift but it offers pretty good bang for the buck. My Hoe still drives and handles just as well as if stock. It does have a stiffer ride than stock though. They have 3 suspension lifts 2-3", 4" & 6" all...
