Brake Light Help
Bad turn signal stalk??? Brake lights and rear blinkers share the same power source. Blinkers work up front but not in the rear and no brake lights, I would suspect the blinker switch and/or blinker wires inside the steering column.- 1_8TTony

BELT TENSIONER, IDLER, ? CHATTER
Dip stick tube rattling against the firewall???? The 13mm nut which secures the tube is difficult to get to......maybe the shop tech's were too lazy to secure the tube. Or... You know your stuff!!!! The temperature guage in the dash is not accurate in relation to "real time" engine coolant temperatures. Strange Noise Under My 2004 Tahoe Z71
Before you start the engine in the morning, get under the truck and hit the exhaust pipe on the drivers side.......hit it right upstream of the pipes first slip joint. You may be able to pin point the noise to the slip joint connection. or..... Start the engine and let it get up to normal...- 1_8TTony

Transfer Case woes
Had to replace the transfer case on my bro-in-laws rig yesterday. First noticed the odd noise 4 days ago. Then finally, the output shaft ended up half an inch back further than it's supposed to be. Sounds typical of overheated (burnt) fuel pump wires on the fuel pump module. The "fuel pump" on these vehicles consist of many parts and (as a whole), they are referred to as a "fuel pump module". 2011 tahoe gear selector broke??
Cable has to move to move through the detents. OP states that the dash stays in "Park" when the shift lever is moved. The cable has to move the shift range indicator so that the dash displays R, N O D 2 1........So I'm guessing the cable is not moving at all. Just gonna have to get down there...- 1_8TTony
