I thought I'd follow up on this. I started experiencing other issues. The truck never flat out died again like it did in my original post. But I started to get hesitation at times under acceleration, a miss in the idle here every few seconds almost all of the time, and eventually the P018B...
Rides beautifully. Trust me, I spent all my younger years driving lowered sports cars and don't want anything to do with that jarring, uncomfortable daily ride anymore. If this kit screwed up the comfort on this $70k truck, it would have been taken off the same night.
My only complaint is...
This is where I got em

I have the kit linked at the beginning of this thread with 5305 belltech springs and auto ride links.
Initially mine sat at 35 7/8 front and 37 3/4 rear. I installed the kit and used the spacers and both factory insulators. The rear dropped to 35 1/8 and looked stupid with the rear sagging. I...

I installed the springs, spacers, and both insulators and the truck actually dropped lower in the rear than the front and looked stupid. I...
There's absolutely no reason to run high octane fuels in these vehicles daily.
Swathdiver did the math for you right there, it costs .015 cents a mile more to run "premium" fuel. But the end of your statement is false: there are no added benifits of running higher octane fuel (generally - see...
What tires do you have? I had the factory 18s up until 2 weeks ago and the front sat at 34 1/2. Jumping up to the 22" option raised the truck up over an inch but the wheel well gap is smaller and that's all I was concerned about. I really didn't want the thing slammed on the ground riding like...
Might as well chime in.
50k on my 16 SLT 4x4 w sunroof. Had factory 18s with goodyear assurance tires up until a couple weeks ago. Now have 22x9 285/45r22 Nitto 420S. No buffeting vibration at all except the Nittos get a flat spot sitting in the hot garage for a few days without being...
I haven't had any issues, it worked exactly like it did before. Even when I first installed the kit and the rear end sat 1/2-3/4" lower than the front, the lane assist still worked the same.
