the box appears to be the gas tank evap canister it is not the source of the leak, your pictures show part of the oil/grease leak but does not show where it is coming from, oil/grease will generally flow backwards from the source or diagonally because air/force is pushing it, so if you look closely at your rear differential/pinion area (where the driveline enters the rear diff) that is most likely where it is coming from

your last photo from behind the rear differential if you look the grease is right above the pinion so my best guess without a picture from the other side is your pinion seal is bad.

your pinion area should be oil free like this, if is all greasy and if the grease is splattered up under the body right at this location then that is the source of the leak

That was my second thought, the pinion seal. First, I thought gasoline may have leaked from the evap cannister but the spray is a narrow band covering the area, ruling that out.

That oil is a pretty good rust inhibitor though! Your differential won't be happy when it runs out of fluid, so get it fixed. In that last photo, the back of the differential is dry on top, I bet it's the pinion seal like you said.

I'm partial to OEM shocks but lots of fellas here like the Bilsteins.
