Frontend wobbling after extensive frontend work

Ahh, from the start.
The steering wheel was at about the 11 o'clock position before the frontend work with a slight pull to the right.
After the frontend work and before the alignment it was repositioned at about the 10 o'clock position.
After the alignment it was at the 12 o'clock position.
Since Saturday with only about 15 miles on it the steering wheel now sits centered at the 10 o'clock position again.
It also likes to moderately pull to the right but doesn't do it consistently which is odd.
After the alignment the steering felt tight but has gotten noticeably looser.

Going back by the shop today after work to have them check everything with a fine toothed comb. I feel it isn't safe to even drive on 45mph street let alone on the highway.

Was kinda hoping that someone has had a similar issue.
If I find out the problem I will for sure post it here, thanks.

Sounds like maybe the shop left something lose. I can't think of one single reason why the wheel would move that much in only 15 miles. I would take it back like you said. Then again, if they messed something up like that, maybe I wouldn't...

If Im reading this correctly,....the steering wheel position has moved from 12 oclock to 10 oclock since the alignment ?

Yes, and the steering doesn't feel like it did after the alignment.

X2 on that and this is exactly what I was thinking the place that did your alignment fubard it somehow. your steering wheel center position should not move at all, it may move slightly over a very long extended period of time as something wore out or if you smacked a curb pretty hard or were involved in a accident, but that's about it.

Agreed,.. Shop screwed up,..id take it somewhere else and get it done correctly,.. Then take THAT reciept and results back to the first shop and demand a refund.

Long as post got deleted..check your steering box..play at neutral was my problem and it turned out to be the steering box. I have literally replaced everything including the centerlink and it just didn't feel right. The steerimg would get tight and then be loose while driving. The box must have had a flow problem or something because even my hydroboost works better after it was replaced.

Alignment done again. Still had a loose feeling to it. Especially through the steering wheel.
Steering gear box is the problem. Going to change it out along with the steering shaft.
Will give update after I get that done.

Ok, did a complete flush on the power steering gear box and power steering unit.
A world of difference!
Back to smooth, no pulling steering.
A lot of gunk gathered up inside.
Not a goof in the alignment but gunk clogging up in the box & unit.

Thanks for letting us know. How did you do this? Turkey baster method? What fluid is recommended?
