Been searching threads for a few hours now about suspensions (z55 air ride), I found the Arnott replacement kit that KEEPS air ride intact for 799.00 and includes the air compressor, BUT I’ve also noticed you can do Bilstein bypass shocks/struts too. If I’m reading correctly, the Bilstein set up will work just fine but I been watching you tube videos and it looks like there’s a lot more labor involved.
I don’t plan to do this myself. I was quoted 200 bucks by my mechanic to swap in the new air ride set up, hoe much more work is involved in going with the Bilstein conversion?
Also, it sounds like auto ride doesn’t do anything the Bilsteins won’t except for level out the rear when towing. I would tow a couple quad runners on a small trailer at the most. Should I keep air ride for such a small trailer and weight?
Looking to do whichever is least expensive as long as it’s still mostly apples to apples ride and handling wise
