slight tick at idle only

hi any idea i have a slight continues tick or click at idle only once rpm up it goes away oil pressure is good last oil used Mobil 1 5w30 with AC DELCO pf61e filter

The PF61 has SAE threads fellas. If yours originally had the PF44 or PF46 then the former is ok according to various forums. If yours originally called for the PF48 with metric threads, such as the GMT900s, then the PF63 is the long version and similar in spec. Many dealerships, later GM bulletins and newer GM autos have switched over from the PF48 to the PF63. Did not mean to create confusion.

My 00 5.3 requires a PF48. I matched one up with a PF61E several years ago and it was the same diameter so I gave one a try and it fits just like the PF48. I also matched up a PF61 and a PF61E these are two different filters that look almost identical but have completely different part numbers. The Thread Plate on the 61 is different than the 61E. I actually bought a PF61 just to see if it would fit but after reading your reply sounds like it won't. I have looked at the PF63 and wondered if it would fit but never tried one so I will exchange my PF61 for a PF63 and see how it fits.
