Tahoe bogs down

hey guys, I'm clueless with the vortec 350s, I have a 5.3 and have had old carbed 350s and that's about it. My buddy has a 97 tahoe with the vortec 350, when he is at a stop sign, he goes to take off and the truck bogs down and sounds almost like an old 350 with off timing, wondering if anyone has had this and a possible fix, things got 370k on it and runs perfect other then this, we've done injectors, cleaned intake manifold, and ran sea foam, and have cleaned fuel tank out when we repaired frame. Any suggestions would help, Thankyou!

Do you mean it bogs and then drives normally or it runs perfectly when idling and bogs if it's given any throttle?

Check fuel pressure? Faulty throttle position sensor? Clogged catalytic converter?

Instead of throwing a bunch of guesses and parts (wasted money) at it, check the fuel pressure and have someone with a Tech2 read it.

It starts and idles pretty much perfect, thing is it's on and off, almost like it would be a MAF but that has been replaced, cat could be clogged or messed up. But back to your question, if it's in park and he gives it gas, it will rev without hesitation, when in gear, we come up to a traffic circle and yield or we stop at a light, go to give it gas it sounds like it's gonna die but all of the sudden will jump to high rpms. Will look into tech 2 as well, I appreciate your reply!

Fuel pressure or plugged injectors? If it isn't your fuel pressure you could try cataClean from Mr. Gasket, Auto Zone sells it. It cleans everything and is the best!
