The mirrors in my '02 Hoe stopped adjusting with the switch and I am planning on replacing them. Found a set of tow mirrors with the arrow turn signals and heated. Two questions:

1. Will NNBS mirrors bolt up fine on an NBS truck? I know that the connector is different. I will deal with that just want to make sure they will bolt up.

2. How can I make the heated mirrors work? I have seen trucks that have a button built in to the climate control area. Will that plug and play into my 02 truck or will I have to do something different? And if it will work does anyone happen to have the part number?

Thanks,
Justin

My heated mirrors tie into the rear defrost button.

^^^This. On 00-02 trucks with heated mirrors, the heated mirrors turn on when you turn the rear defroster on. The one rear defroster button on the AC control is the only way to turn them on, and you can't turn on just the mirrors or just the rear defroster.

That's fine, any time I'd want to turn one on it makes sense to turn the other on anyways. Do you happen to know if the plug is the same on trucks with factory heated vs non heated? As in do I already have wiring for it or do I have to splice in a new wire to the switch.

To be honest, I don't know. Every 00-02 truck that I have worked with all has the same exact plugs if it has power mirrors. Even if the truck didn't have heated mirrors (but the mirrors were basic power mirrors) I saw the wires in the door harness for the heated mirrors. I remember adding some turn signal mirrors to a 00 Sierra for a friend of mine, and all the wires for the heated mirrors were already there. Since the mirrors I was installing were heated turn signal mirrors, I went ahead and hooked up the heated glass wire, and I told him to get an AC control panel with a defrost button. But he never did swap out his AC control panel so I never did find out if the entire wiring is there of if it's just the door harness that's already there. He isn't worried about whether or not they are heated, so he will not get a new AC panel.

Was it ever determined if the NNBS mirrors will just bolt onto the NBS ok?
