Ok, parts came in. Starting with a pic of one of the cams. They are beefy. I'm wondering if they should have been made in aluminum so that they can have some crumple effect in a side impact. Might save your frame.

I'm debating whether or not I should get new bolt hardware. The OEM hardware have this notch about them that seems kind of unsettling. Should be fine just annoying.

On to the Spohn install. Had to disconnect sway bar endlink to access bolt with torque wrench. Looks like someone got too happy with an impact gun and crushed the collar inside the rear sway bushing:

It didn't need much adjustment. The Fabtech comes with a bracket that compensates for most of the lift shown here. Still, I'm glad I got it because it was off center by too much.

Here it is installed, adjusted, and loctited. I forgot to note whether or not the parking cable sat in front of or behind the sway bar end link. Needs to be relocated in front of according to many pics. Four zip ties because I could only find those skinny ones. Will redo everything later.

That's it for today. I got my new grill and door handle covers too but this is the lift thread.

@JJ351 & '01Konvict-

Did you guys have to add the 2" rear coil spacer to level the rear w/ front? Reason I'm asking is because I'm ordering the McGaughy's 7-9 kit and I planned on setting my front struts on 8 and I was trying to calculate which spacer I'll need for the rear? It's hard to say exactly how much the rear springs lift but from research it seems like 5-5.5" of lift with rear springs alone? I already have a 1.5" rear coil spacer from my level lift and trying to determine if I can reuse that or buy a 2"? Thoughts?

It's hard to tell until you get the lift on, but start with the 1.5" and then measure the fender height front to back once the front is where you want it. (From the center of the hubs to the top of the fender)

This guy has the McGaughy's set to 8 and the rear at "7", so a 1.5-2" coil spacer sounds about right, but you might want to message him:

Thanks for the input. I came across that link yesterday when I was searching, oddly enough it states he has the front set to 8 but no spacer on the rear... That can't be correct as most of the pictures I've seen with Tahoes/Yukons & the McGaughy lift seem to sit a hair lower in the rear. Like you suggested, looks like I'll have do the install and then see if the 1.5" or 2" spacer looks better.

Thanks again for your quick response.

On that site when they say spacer they mean wheel spacers as they're all about offsets/tucking, etc. As far as coil spacers it was trial and error with me. I started with no spacer, then a 1" inch spacer (even though I had a feeling it might not be enough), then finally 2". The tahoe in that link I posted looks lower in the back than front. I don't know where you want it but 1.5" might not be enough.

In case anyone was wondering if those Moog replacement Expedition rear sway links worked out, they did. I also took the opportunity to reroute the E-brake cables over the axle (thanks 01Konvict) and used industrial sized zip ties from Harbor Freight to secure them.

Sorry for late response but didn't get the tag just saw my name. Anyhow yes that kit does sag a little in the rear set at 7". I've seen one in person and it's definitely a great kit. I like how they use rear upper drop shock brackets because if you have auto ride you can add rough country 3.5" rear shock extensions if you need a 2" coil spacer when running front at 9".

For your setup at 8" yes the current 1.5" should put you very close to level. Get it installed and see what you got. I predict within 1/2" of front though

Is there a set for lifted NBSs? I just need like 2 inches, and I can't find anything anywhere
