2002 Yukon XL Denali with 279,000 miles on it for $3k. Was owned by a guy who traveled all over the country selling shirts and jewelry at music festivals and biker gatherings. So most of the mileage are highway miles.

Just drove it home about 180 miles for a shakedown cruise and the engine and tranny feel strong. The transmission was replaced about 60k miles ago the guy reckons. He doesn't remember whether it was replaced with OEM or aftermarket. I tell you that 6.0 liter is a beast on an engine. The torque is awesome. Paint is good, body panels are straight. Exterior is in pretty fine shape considering the mileage. That's the good.

The bad: lots of little things as you might expect. The Air Ride suspension was deleted so it has SERVICE AIR RIDE in message display. The fog lights don't work. The adjustment for the side mirrors doesn't work. The A/C has a leak in it somewhere (according to PO) but still works for now since it was just recharged. The information display in the center console goes on and off erratically. Sometimes its illuminated other times not. Tires are mis-matched. Dashboard is peeling especially around glove box area. CD changer doesn't work.

All in all, I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Going to take it to my tech on Monday and have him give it a once over and see where its all at mechanically. Anyway, I bought it as a work truck to haul stuff around in so I'm going to put it to good use. I'm glad to be a member of the community and look forward to learning from all of you about my new vehicle. Thanks for having me.

Thank you all. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.

No problem the 6.0 is a great motor, only rear downside to the NBS Escalade/Denali is the AWD front diff issues I love my Escalade
