May want to sticky this:

25 Watt, 3.9 Ohm resistors work perfectly for bypassing Autoride on 2007+ SUV's. I chopped off the connector and soldered the resistor across the two wires, then heatshrunk. Doesnt matter what side attaches to what. No error messages.

Now you can put any shocks on without "Service Suspension" messages, and youre only out about $10.

You can purchase them here

Hello thank you for the link. Now where do these resisters go, on the plus or negative wire?

Thank you.

Did you read what you just quoted? It says to wire them across the 2 wires, doesn't matter which end goes where. There is no positive or negative.

Will the same resistors and procedure work for 2001-2006 models?

This is very cool to know. I was talking to a dealer today, I was telling him I have a Chevy LTZ, and I like it well enough, but I want a Denali or an Esky to upgrade too, and he was telling me he did not like them because of the "Service Suspension" light that he was getting on one of them. He ended up selling it at Auction, but this is good to know if I ever get a Denali or Esky, or even if my Tahoe throws the light. I put new shocks on it around 50K ago, so I should be ok for a while. :D

SO, I NEED HELPS!! Just installed lowering kit on a 2011 escalade with autoride. CUstomer supplied resistors to install. Finished install, and started truck up. Smoked all 4 resistors. LIke melted the heat shrink off of them and started smoking. Found out they were only a 10W 3.9 ohm resistor. Removed those and installed 25w 3.9ohm resistors. Just finished that and started it up. took longer this time but it smoked them as well! ANy help? Why would it smoke them? PLease!!!

You have to disconnect the ride height sensors or it will burn the resistors up on the Autoride shock wires. Leaving them connected varies thw resistance to the old Autoride shock connectors. You can measure the resistance on the ride height sensor wires and order the right resistors to turn off the service suspension message on the DIC.

So, unplugged all the sensors, that made it not burn up the resistors. Now im getting a suspension code for each sensor? Any way to bypass that? lol Or do those also need resistors?
