Outside temp was about 27 degress, I was sitting in the drivers seat with the door open warming up the vehicle (rear defrost was on for a while then off), and all of the sudden the rear glass just exploded. Anyone have this happen before? It did have aftermarket tint as well.

That happens a lot with vans, I can't remember the details of how and why but when you go to get the glass replaced the tech will explain it better than I

Must heat up too fast or something. Kinda like throwing hot water on a cold window

i heard of a friend who cracked his front glass supposedly by heating up the glass to quick . He was running late for school, hopped in his hummer and was gunnin it the whole way and I guess the heater gettin hot faster than the window cracked it. but Ive never heard of a glass just shattering out like that.

Yeah there must have been a small crack/chip that wasn't visible, and the quick temp change just pushed it over the edge. Anyways, I have full glass coverage with $0 deductible, so a new one is going in tomorrow morning! :)
